The Power of the Atonement!

She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy
With the baby in the backseat

Fifty miles to go and she was running low
On faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year

She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning
On a thin black sheet of glass

She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own

I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus, take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat
Sleeping like a rock

And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life

I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own

I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Oh Jesus, take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go

So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus, take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me.
As you all my know this song is from Carrie Underwood. It is one of my favroite songs. The chorus part of this song reminds a lot of the atonement. In this song she is talking about a young mom that is driving through a snow storm and she had been thinking alot about her life, had  alot on her mind and she knew she needed to change to pray and and ask god to help her. That is what we need to do. When we have those storms in our life that is when we really need to turn to the lord and ask for help and for forgivness.  He wants us to ask him and to follow him. He will take over our wheel and will drive where we need to go so that we can get through the storms that we go through. There is always a second chance. We can always start over. The atonement of Jesus Christ is like a reset button. Instead of a game over we can reset and try again. He is there for us! so pray to him and let him take over. That is why he performed the atonement. So that we can apply it into our lives. When we apply the atonement to our lives we need reconize that we need to change we have done something wrong, and to feel that godly sorrow. We need to pray and confess to Heavenly Father and to ask him for forgivness. Once we have shown him that we are willing to change and have prayed and ask for forgivness. We need to make what is worng right. If we have stolen something we need to return it, If we have lied we need to fix that lie. Whatever it may be, we need to fix it and promise to never do it again. Repentance and  applying the atomement to our lives is an everyday process. Everyday we need to repent and to apply the atonement. In this song the women repents, she apply christ atonement wants him to help her. I have seen the atonement in my on life and i know that it is real and that i can always come back to my savior I can have that second chance to pick myslef up and to start again. This is my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Cumorahs Hill

Long were the shadows, deep was the chill of star-less night.
Great the confusion now ages long upon the land.
Long upon the land.

Hushed were the voices, silent the witness of the past.
Timeless the record hidden between the earth and stone.
Tender the prophet brought to the hillside,
drawn by a vision bright.
Breathless the moment when the stone was opened
lifting the truth to the light.

From Cumorah's Hill there comes a witness and a warning;
Out of darkness shines at last the welcome light of morning!

Now are the stick of Joseph and Judah one in hand,
How plain and precious now is the Gospel of the Lamb.
Read from its pages, drink from the fountain,
feast on the words of Christ.
Saved through the ages for this dispensation
piercing the clouds of the night.

From Cumorah's Hill there comes a witness and a warning;
Out of darkness shines at last the welcome light of morning!

Ancient voices crying from the dust,
Ancient voices crying from the dust.
God remembers yet His covenant.
God remembers yet His covenant.
In the latter-day He speaks to us
In the latter-day He speaks to us

From Cumorah's Hill.
from Cumorah's Hill.

From Cumorah's Hill there comes a witness and a warning;
Out of darkness shines at last the welcome light of morning!
Morning! From Cumorah's Hill!

Articles of Faith

We Believe that first Principles and Ordinances of the Gospel are

2 Nephi 31:13,16
13 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism—yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels, and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel.
16 And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved.

By following these three things you will be able to come closer to your Heavenly Father and enjoy his greatest blessing of Eternal Life!!

Gentle Voice

Far above the noise of life,
There’s a voice that is gently calling.
Leave behind your cares and strife.
Come to me, I will give you rest.
Bring your fear, and bring your pain.
Bring your anger, and bring your worry.
Do you hear the voice of Jesus
gently calling, Come unto me.
Gentle voice, so meek and mild,
Gentle words of understanding.
You are my beloved child.
Come to me, I will give you rest.
Bring your grief, and bring your cares.
Bring you heartaches, and bring your sorrow.
Do you hear the voice of Jesus
Gently calling, Come unto me
Gentle voice so full of love,
Gentle words so rich in mercy.
You are my beloved child.
Come to me. I will give you rest.
